BAGLUNG, Nov 26: Human rights activists have located a place where Nepal Army (NA) personnel reportedly buried three people after killing them during the insurgency.

Members of Advocacy Forum found skeletons of Roshandhwoj Malla of Devisthan-1, Tika Chhantyal of Devisthan-9 and Dor Bahadur Chhantyal of Argal-9 buried at Dantugayar forest area.

Coordinator of the Forum, Ram Sharma, said they have found evidences of skeletons and clothes, among other articles, were found there. "After a long study, we have found clear evidences that bodies of the three people from Devisthan VDC were buried in Dantugayar forest area," Sharma said.

Locals didn´t travel in the area as that was used by Maoists for their training purposes.

Family members of the victims have lodged a complaint against NA officials at the District Police Office in Baglung accusing them of the murder.

Gamudhwoj, son of Roshandhwoj Malla, claimed that the securitymen stationed at Bhimghith killed his father in March 2002. "We have found some evidences. Now, we have decided to file a case at the National Human Rights Commission," said Gamudhwoj.

San Bahadur BK, a teacher from Argal Lower Secondary School, said NA men brought the three people to the forest area in a helicopter. "We heard sounds of firings after the NA men took the three of them to the forest," he said.

Police, however, are reluctant to file the case. Though the government has confirmed their death, it has not made clear where, when and how the three victims were killed.

According to relatives of the deceased, they have not received anything from the government except the financial support of Rs 100,000 each.
